Our Tally Ho wool shop is a treasure trove of carded wool, exquisitely spun homespun fibres and an expansive collection of premium New Zealand grown wool. Whether you’re seeking the perfect yarn or natural fibres, Tally Ho has everything you need.
At Tally Ho, we’re passionate about wool and dedicated to being your one-stop shop for all things knitting and crochet. We have a collection of knitting supplies, including knitting needles, crochet hooks, scissors and more.
We are a small family business, nestled in the hills of lower Central Otago, South Island, New Zealand.
We have the pleasure of owning two amazing Woolen Industrial size carders. One was made in 1922 and the younger one in 1951. Both were made in Bradford, England by the Pratt brothers.
These machines have been run by 2 generations of the Peel family.
With approximately 45 years of Carding experience, we are very proud of our products and the service we provide for the wider community of New Zealand and our various overseas customers.
We are very proud to say that all the Natural coloured Romney and Gotland are bred on our home farm.
The White Romney is locally sourced from Lauder Falls Romney Stud in Wyndham. The Natural and Coloured Merino is sourced from Central Otago.
We stock a great variety of carded and batted wool products meticulously crafted by us and a wide selection of premium commercial wools. Explore our possum/merino line featuring an array of luxuries, from gloves to socks, jerseys to scarves.
